Villa Vie is located only 5 minutes from the township of Warkworth.
 
Warkworth is town of historical and cultural significance situated next to the Mahurangi River which loosely translates from Mpaori as “flowing waters”.
 
In the early evening hours, local and visitors can be seen walking along the established pathways and taking in the beautiful calming water vistas.
 
Villa Vie, also affectionately known as La Maison Blue, was specially built from a custom plan for Paul, Angela and family in 2019. After homeschooling their children through one of the worlds longest “lockdowns” during the pandemic, they have moved to a location to pursue a more structured education for their children.
 
While building the house, the family and Etoile the cat stayed on a Permaculture Farm where they learnt many sustainable ecological principles that they now carry forward.
 
From building the house from sustainable timber, yet able to withstand major weather events, to the newly planted orchard on the rear embankment.
 
There is a herb/green salad raised planter on te front deck, where guests can pick fresh greens to add to their meal. In fact, if you love the feel of soil or gardening you are welcome to add a personal touch such as flowers or food as a living tribute to your time as you pass through. There is a small shovel in the butlers pantry to use.
